WC MN | Our limiting factor is too much water. Putting tile in as money allows. Have experimented with p and k as well as fungicide population in furrow foliar feed. The only consistent yield maker in our soils is tile. If our top end was 80-90 it would be much different. 38-45 seems like the common numbers if we don't drown out or get nailed with IDC because then it's 28.
I understand your premise but it's easier on your ground to get a ROI. Almost impossible here. 18 19 and 20 we were talking about less than $300 in total gross revenue on some fields.
Edit for spelling and to add we plant plenty of corn on corn because we suck at growing beans.
