Subject: RE: Ram 2500/3500 air ride rear

Western Iowa
A buddy of mine has a 20 (I think) high country duramax. I would say his rides more level than most. Probably better than the ram 2500 I suspect. I really doubt the ram would ride better than the duramax.

I do know with my 3500 (single wheel, 4dr, long box) and a tandem dually GN flatbed I can max out the air ride with only what I would call a full load, not overloaded a bit. It doesn't seem to affect much, but there is a light in the dash that pops up to tell you about it.

My previous pickup was a 2500 ram with leaf springs and I put on a firestone ride rite helper air bag system on it. I WAY overloaded that pickup at times. It took it fine, but I put a handful of much heavier loads on that pickup without issue. I don't know if the factory air setup on the newer pickup would take that abuse or not?
