Quebec, Canada | If you want yield maps with humidity and yield across your field then the Pro600 works fine. Would I pay a little more to get slightly nicer maps in a monitor I liked more? Sure. Would I pay ten thousand on a 500 ac farm, of which half is forage crops for cattle? Nope, I’d put up with the extra little headaches of the Pro600 until it bites the dust, then put in a brand new FarmTRX or Loup Elite yield monitoring system for much less than $10k.
As for the support, depends on the dealership. I asked my local AgLeader dealer to reprogram an AgLeader 6000 antenna to output NMEA 2000 messages on the CANBUS. They couldn’t figure it out after a week, but happily charged me $170 for the time they spent “trying”. Went to a custom applicator down the road who did the job in 20 minutes and only asked for $20. I gave him some maple syrup to thank him for the good service. Lots of people have had great experiences with their AgLeader dealers, just not me and I’m not going back there. | |
