Nevada, Iowa | Sounds very similar but it was smaller as I recall and involved a couple of percussion instruments. I wish my memory was better, I know I was very fascinated by the darn thing. The old guy that owned and ran it, doted over it like it was a corn sheller or a threshing machine. He had a pump oil can and made good use of it. Ha!
And by the way, thank you for jogging my memory with the word calliope. I had lost hold of that in my vocabulary long ago but I do remember now Mom calling it that.
