Fruita CO | The term was coined by Tom Brokaw in his book about the Depression/WWII generation. Excellent book, & he was right, overall...not 100% of course, some of the WWII vets were hardass, bigoted, my way or the highway SOB's...some I suspect because of untreated PTSD, then called "shell shock". It was mostly suck it up & get on with your life. A lot of the teachers & coaches were vets when I was in school, & they didn't put up with the crap teachers get now. | |
