I’m my experience holding options to expiration is a loser. Holding them for a run up in price and rolling calls up in a weather market has been a winner.
If he sells $6 Dec corn and buys a $6 call that he holds /rolls up then he is subject to delivery on the short but will also hold a long position to force delivery on as well.
