Seeded some Alfalfa in August of 2019, due to dry weather it didn't start to sprout to the middle of September. So cold weather had an effect on that seeding, and the stand was poor. Next April broadcast some more Alfalfa over the field. Stand is probably only 25 to 30% in patchy spots all over the whole field now. If we cut the first cutting off, and then work it up can I reseed to Alfalfa this August? Or will the auto toxicity still be present. Thanks

Dunno if anyone could give you a 'right' answer.
Was it my ground I would work it up like you're suggesting and then seed in winter triticale (great feed!!!!).
After that I would consider getting back into the alfalfa the next spring or some where thereabouts.
