MN | One of my former employees quit in the middle of harvest, sent me a text message that he was. Now he's telling the state unemployment that I laid him off.
Has anyone had luck convincing the state office that he's lying to them? Or is this another "employer is guilty until he can prove the employee is lying" sort of deal.
I've never dealt with this sort of thing before, but I have had some difficulty with employees and the states assumptions before.
