You sound about like me.

We planted the first and most beans with that drill on 15 inch rows and I was pretty satisified. When it got past early May we used 7.5 inches, upped the seeding and rate and they made about the same yield.

Number two, use the residual, you use about a half rate compared to non GMO.

No blasting here, think you have a plan. The corn residue here will be a challenge. Weeds are my number one pest problem so it takes a lot of attention and planning and re-evaluating.

If it gets late, go back to 7.5's and up the seeding rate so you have enough in the row to push through, 7 beans or so per foot of row, depending on soil conditions. If it is dry and hot, more like 10.
