I'm still not sure how much N you will benefit without getting it into the soil, but we do the same thing with dairy manure because we run no-till. Most everyone's N was gone long before they wanted it to be this year with all of the water. Definately would have been a year for side-dressing. As for the beans, they should be decent, still dependent on the year like it always is.
