I don't feel sorry for you. Support your local grocery store. We need them now more than ever.
It's funny how people think the local stores were special in some way. The people working at Sam's are local people who make more now than they did when they were working at "local" stores. "Local" stores that sold Mexican vegetables, Argentine and Brazilian beef, Canadian pork and Chinese junk weren't making a living for more than the owner.
None of our "local" stores ever carried the little pies I like nor did they have rotisserie chickens.
I live in a small town with a small community owned grocery store and cafe. We are dependent on loyal community support.
We have a walmart and other larger groceries 30 min. away.
It's not funny that some of us like and support our store.
It is special, and it is not easy to compete, and stay open.
So, you need to see how things are in rural areas.
