Our FSI spreaders (horizontal beaters) handle rocks about as well as you can ask a spreader to.

I don’t think any vertical spreader is going to survive much rock, the tip speed of the beaters is just too high. You have to remember that impact force increases with the square of speed, so a beater tip moving 2x as fast has to withstand 4x the impact.




Kinetic energy = 1/2 mass times velocity squared.

That velocity squared is really hard on stuff.
