I wouldn't bother. If you want to grow an 8 -10# bird, just hold onto a few of the smaller birds when you butcher the main group. You need a bird that has good legs, heart, and lung development to support a body that big. Keep them on your finish ration and dead before the heat of summer. I always kept a few off a late summer group to harvest during fall. Cornish cross
