What is the end goal, if you are raising broilers they grow fast enough that there is not much benefit. Can you tell the difference between eating a hen and rooster broiler? The testes are located along the spine.
The benefit is taste and size. They actually will grow to the size of a young turkey. The testicles aren't near the spine, I find them under each wing half way back. Tricky. My new vet just looked at me and shook his head when I asked if he had any tips on caponizing roosters. |
