 Pittsburg, Kansas | Many people don't need to "go all the way" as my wife and I have done, cutting the carbs down to under 20 grams a day. Many would do well at 100 grams a day, which is much easier to weave into a modern diet.
There are two aspects to carbs. One is the blood glucose level. The other is the addiction aspect. In my particular case, it is much easier for me to "just cut them out" from the addiction aspect. It would be a lot harder for me to stay with it if I was trying to do 100 grams a day. But not everyone has that problem. For some just cutting the carbs in half and avoiding high sugar stuff like candy and juices might be all they need to improve their health a bunch. |
