| The shot isn't what put her in the hospital. Respiratory issues from covid put her in the hospital. Even people who are vaccinated can still get covid but typically, it is not as serious and sometimes can prevent it entirely. I suggest he get the vaccine because that is what his doctor is suggesting. My daughter is a pretty rare case. Not typical in any way. The vaccine should have helped her prevent getting covid or at least reduced her symptoms but with her it didn't. Justin and myself got the vaccine and have never had covid. A couple of my friends have gotten the vaccine and then gotten covid and said it just felt like a cold. Everyone is different which is why we need to listen to the advice of our doctors, who know our history and what is going on with us better than an online forum who has no idea about what's going on with our current health or any underlying conditions.
