NW Indiana
Well all of 22 inputs are bought. Have only sold 23 beans which involves little inputs. Fertility is through the roof so could go many years without P or K. Nitrogen would be my risk in which I'm willing to take. My thought is my risk is higher of lower grain prices than inputs being so high I can't make money at current levels. I would like to price all of 22 and 23( pretty close on beans but very little corn sold). 24 prices aren't at all appealing. My merchandiser will also allow me to roll bushels from one crop to another so I have the flexibility to change acres down the road.
My opinion is for the most part farmers have given up many dollars over the years out of fear of missing out on higher prices.
