NW Washington | I think the Smithsonian Museums in the Washington DC area are just amazing. I was once stationed in that area in the Navy and we spent a lot of time in those museums on weekends. Or whenever someone came to visit us from other parts of the USA.
How many Smithsonian museums are there?
The Smithsonian offers eleven museums and galleries on the National Mall plus six other museums and the National Zoo in the greater National Capital Area. In New York City, we invite you to tour two museums in historic settings.
