north central Iowa, Hampton | If you’re near Mobile AL the battleship Alabama is worth 5-6 hours. They’ve made some modifications so you can get down in the bottom of the gun turrets and I was able to climb up in the gun loaders area in the turret. Much better ship access than the Missouri.
I also liked the Smithsonian Udvaar-Hazy out at Washington Dulles.
I’ve been fortunate enough to stop in at Warner-Robbins several times and really like wandering around there. |
