| Not sure what is garbage about automatic transmission I have ran lots of fords super duty’s well over 200k and several into the 300k and only ever lost one trans.
I have logged well over a million miles in ford super duty’s they have done me well.
My trucks have heavy utility beds on and routinely pull trailer, they are not babied.
Change oil regularly and they will serve you well.
The cvt trans I had in mind when starting this discussion was the kind that Deere fendt and nh were using, I may not have made that clear in the first post and it derailed into the snowmobile and gator type of cvts.
If they are making they tractors more fuel efficient by keeping rpms in the sweet spot with less moving parts could we not do the same in trucks?
