Before you get crazy ripping stuff apart. Double check the solenoids on the reverser. Make sure they each get a good power supply and have a good ground when shifted to foreword or reverse. Check the resistance of both coils. You know one is good, so they should both be approximately the same ohms. The reverser pump also creates oil pressure to release the parking brake, the brakes sticking could be a related issue if it was the parking brake dragging and not the service brakes.
