We have came to the conclusion to spray 100% of our corn every year even on a low disease yr because of tar spot showing up late like this year. 1 yr fungicide trial is so hard to look at anymore I like to take a 5 yr trial and a avg. I’d say 90% of the time you will be $$$ ahead in your pocket plus better harvest standability. The guys that sprayed this year there will be a 25 to 50bu yield advantage based on how much greener the sprayed corn is vs the unsprayed corn that has been dead for a week or more now and ready to fall over. I also agree hybrid selection is a biggie! | |
