Wife & I both have tinnitus. She had her thyroid remove in 2011 because of cancer. Surgeon who did the surgery is an eye, nose, & throat specialist.. She asked him what could be done for tinnitus, he told her if she found a cure to let him know because he has it as well.
That said, I have heard that certain types of hearing aids will help though not sure which ones.
