north central Iowa, Hampton | We bought a Ford Flex with about 40K on it. Currently at 120. Ours has the 3.5L V6, front wheel drive only, but there are plenty of AWDs out there. It's a three row. Ours has buckets in the middle but there are quite a few with a middle bench which should do what you want.
I enjoy driving it--quiet, gets mid to upper 20's mpg, The only mechanical problem we've had is the dome light switches and they're spendy at around $400 / door for a full fix (stupid things are tied into the computer instead of being just a 5$ plunger switch...) You can disable any individual door as an alternative.
There's not as much room as a Suburban, but the only time we had a problem was luggage for 5 adults on a trip. |
