EC Nebraska | For everybody saying that people died WITH covid, not necessarily FROM covid, I agree to a point. But I used to agree a whole lot more until I found out the final excess deaths number.
There were 378,000 official COVID deaths in 2020. There were over 500,000 excess deaths in 2020. That was a 22.9% increase over expected mortality for the period March 1, 2020 through January 2, 2021. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2778361
Now, despite all the obvious government incompetence that's out there, I do think that we can count bodies. Why they died, and who killed them is another story, but I think that Vital Statistics can count death certificates.
Sure, a lot of people are listed as COVID deaths who were going to die anyway from something else.
But a heck of a lot of extra people died from something.
