 Pittsburg, Kansas | Not at all as long as it is the correct vegetables. But if I start eating high carbs again, yes. I occasionally will have a higher carb meal and my blood glucose levels will definitely spike. I think it is slowly getting better in that respect, but I never have meals like I used to so it is hard to tell.
For me it has to be a lifestyle. If I started eating again like I used to my blood glucose would go back to spiking high and I would probably gain ten pounds or more a year.
It took me about 35 years to put on 100 pounds, or about 3 pounds a year. If I ate the same way as I used to I would gravitate back towards that same place.
I have very low carbohydrate tolerance. Not everybody is that way.
