West Union, IOWA FLOLO Farm 52175 | Paul, granted we've been lucky enoug we could time getting the corn/beans out easily most years.... We'd have to shuttle 10,000bu of corn out most yrs as the river bottom would really kick out some bushels....Worst I personally saw was the loaded 30.5's under. That's why my pic is captioned VolgaRiverBarge sorry I didn't take it at the deepest, I waited for the wake to show..
Gator up to the seat get's hairy is about the status of the currant(IE--don't go right after a big rain)and is probaly why them guys went in the pic....It's raining again--could get worse??
I have to laugh when I hear all the worries about the grain in the cart.... On mine the only place water could get in would be the sump...we'd just not clean it out a day or 2 before and it'd be pretty well sealed, as soon as we're done we'd dump the sump and things would be perfectly fine.
Contrary to all, that same tractor, cart,&combine are all still running 9-10 yrs after the first swimming lesson. I'd bet a good steam power washer does more damage then you seeing going on in the first pic... We hand wash our combine,I won't let a power washer near...
