'Here' rivers can have some flow at times, have shifting gravel bottoms. Your picture I can understand. The original pictures don't compute, that is _much_ deeper water than you are showing, you get in a river as deep as the original pictures 'here' & you would be spwept away.

I don't understand how 25 acres of grain gets hauled away from the original pic? Does the grain cart haul 4000bu of grain back through the river, and what does that do to the moisture of the corn?

I don't understand getting that much of a machine that soaking wet. I hate leaving things sit out in the rain much. Totally submerging most of the working parts of the combine, cart, and 2 tractors seems like a lot of risk to me.

If your rivers are real slow moving, have solid bottoms, and as deep as you are in - that works for me.

The original pics show water up to the floorboards of the cabs. That doesn't work so well for me - can't make that jibe with what local river conditions would be, and how much water would get into bad locations on the machines.

Before the wetland/creek was dug into a county ditch - before my time - dad talked about crossing the creek and what a chore it was. So, not like crossing water is unheard of.... Just the depth of the original pictures seems a bit much.

I too love to see the pics, yours & the original ones. Thanks to both of you.
