I agree. I chopped headed out waist high rye last year. Wanted to chop earlier but got delayed by rain. Ended up getting 7-8 ton per acre at 63% moisture. I had it tested and it was 81 RFV and 13% protein. Beef cows did well on it last winter and plan on doing it again. I went to beans afterward and they yielded within about 3 bu of my early planted beans.
How bad have I screwed up…..
