| Man have we had big calf problems this year. Not sure what went on same bull on different set of heifers. But pulled some mighty big calves. Big for a cow much less a heifer. Last one we had to tie a rope to the truck pull and jump on the rope to get him to come out. 2 weeks later calf is running around all the ti.e and mom is just fine.
Sure hope we are done pulling, got about 20 more to valve. Chased one heifer for 15 mins with front legs sticking out she wasn't going to get caught. Said screw it came back the next day she had a massive calf sucking and tail wagging.
Same bull on earlier set of heifers and everything was normal. Heifer diet was the same, just don't understand it. Dad's friend was saying somthing about the moon, not sure I buy into that. | |
