Big Sky Country | Was a post a while back about bull priorities.
I've used " meat and muscle" Charolais, brown Swiss/ char cross, blonde d Aquitaine, semintal, Maine Anjou--- and about a dozen of Cobb Charolais " easy calving" type .....from which I don't think I ve ever pulled a normal presentation.
I've learned there can be more differerence between bulls of a breed than between breeds ----
And that for priorities ---If you ain't got a live calf to start with----- none of the other stuff means a darned thing.
Our cows just starting to calve, we calve " out", drive around at least morning and evening.
Realistically, in good weather, it helps about 2 to 4 percent. | |
