Cows will consume more of the wetter feed. But that also means they are intaking more nutrients so theoretical they should be gaining weight faster or in the case of dairy producing more milk.
An example I had told me once was: which can you eat more of? Mashed potatoes dry or mashed potatoes with applesauce or sourcream mixed in?
