We don't even want to talk about Lucas electrical systems!

Local rebuild shop guru was telling me how Lucas alternators weren't designed to run reliably in our Canadian climate after I'd brought one in for a rebuild.  I laughed and said I didn't think they were designed to run reliably in ANY climate!  He chuckled too and said he agreed but didn't like trash talking about customers' equipment.  Real classy guy in many ways.  Helps out at his church, with Boy Scouts, etc.  It's a shame he's almost retired now.  He's even offered to drive 40 mins one way on his own time to help me figure stuff out that wasn't easily portable (excavator troubles that time I think).  They don't make many like him any more.
