In some ways, but not in others.  

 

Look at the European sprayers, for instance.  There is no durability in them at all.  They all appear to be built to run at 5 mph on an airstrip.  Put them in NA field conditions and they self destruct. 

Lots of things in their tractors are overly complicated and underbuilt.  Same seems to be true of the combines, from my limited examination of the few models found in the US. 

We don't even want to talk about Lucas electrical systems!
