WC Iowa- mostly river bottom | Our coop merged with New Coop and it was the worst thing that could happen. New claimed similar business philosphy and that couldn't have been farther from the truth. They out and out lied. Expect at least a 5 cent increase in basis which means a lower price. They take all the normal fall to spring basis improvement and do not pass ANY along. Expect them to stick it to you every way they can. They are not responsive to the membership. All our good employees have left. They have lost 2million in agronomy business from the shadow of our elevator and don't seem to care. They are a COOP only when it works in thier favor but do not conduct thier business like a coop and will stick it to thier members to make themselves look good. Lots of members here are NOT happy. Competive markets are 40-60 miles away so for most, there is no price competition. |
