North Central Indiana | Leave the fans on. Corn will only take moisure on 1/10th as fast as it will leave the corn based on the relative hummidity of the air. Just the heat from the fan motor will help. The important thing is to keep the air moving, You definately don't want a hot spot to develop. Also, make sure the corn is level and possibly a little lower in the center of the bin.
I actually dried a ring of 26% corn in a 36 foot bin last year. It took a while but it dried and and when we emptied the bin in March it came out at 14% on the bottom. Too Dry! | |
