Subject: RE: 460 New holland round baler

Ft. Ripley MN
I would highly recommend!! We had a 468 Deere as well and it was a good baler! Didn’t really have any complaints in that baler but I just didn’t care for all the parts that had to be thrown at it considering it’s low bale count and they do cost more upfront. Far as resale.. that didn’t materialize either. Actually traded for a Vermeer for 100 bales. Got talked into they were the best thing ever and don’t make that mistake. Should of went with the new holland to begin with and that’s my fault. The monitor isn’t as user friendly as the Deere. I think that’s about my only complaint. It also counts every 2 inches instead of every inch. Really like the net wrap system a lot better then the Deere’s, just need to keep the chaff out of it. Umm far as performance I ran it at 6-8 mph pretty consistently and would bump up to 10 mph when field conditions allowed. Cornstalks did the best at 7 mph far as cleaning up but had no problem running 8.5 in stalks. 1600lbs grass bales and 1200 lbs corn stalks. Only have 400 bales on it though so jury is still out on it. From the research I did it sounds like they took all the great parts of the new holland baler and kept them and all the things they had trouble with in previous balers they improved. Really haven’t heard anything bad about the new rb balers. Umm, we have the active sweep hydraulic pickup, moisture sensor, can adjust bale density on the monitor. Probably forgetting things and should quit rambling. Overall very very happy with it and look forward to many years with it. Any other questions just ask

Forgot to mention it makes nice square bales every time. You actually have to try to make a bale that’s not square where as the Deere you had to make sure you were filling the edges enough
