Subject: RE: Connecting to a Milwaukee Fuel Battery

East Central, Nebraska
so one topic that was raised when someone was looking for one of these in a different forum was the concern of running the battery completely dead. one poster stated the quickest way to destroy one of these high price batteries would be to run them completely dead. the question no one could answer was does the battery stop the tool from discharging the battery at a certain level or does the tool shut off at a certain voltage. no one could answer that. that got me thinking though. the older batteries and tools this was not really a concern and dewalt makes adaptors to make an old tool work on a new battery which makes one wonder if its all nonsense or are the older tools real hard on newer batteries.

i will add that when i was looking on ebay for a dewalt version of these i did see a disclaimer that stated that the battery was not protected from complete discharge so there must be a little truth to it.
