It may be bricked, but try a full reboot first.
I used a rs232 shield and it plugs into uart 1. Uart 1 seemed to be used for ic2 USB and communicating with the Odin radio.
This must run fast. 2,xxx,xxx baud or it boggs down the communication channel and appears bricked. You can try to set baud rate up on UART 1 and keep clicking send until it changes. You might get lucky.
So in my shield i bent the connector pins for the uart 1 in the converter board and soldered them to the pins connected to uart 2. Then set UART 2 to 115k to talk to ag leader.
