Subject: RE: Deer crop damage

Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
I posted above about shooting every deer you see --after getting threatened by deer lovers--,game wardens visiting last words were "I'm going to throw you in jail"
One offered to get me 10 bald head permits --I informed him that was a joke in very crude terms (he was seriously thinking that would help the situation)
I was hassled even when a deer got hit by a car--I was way too vocal --thinking some one would help
IF you are doing what I suggested above be quiet -gut shoot with a small caliber (Don't use a 30-06 or any big caliber --big bore tend to drop some deer in their tracks just from the shock)

my family sold 2- 120 acre farms and gave up rent on about 400 acres of deer infested ground and was fortunate to buy some ground in a much lesser deer populated area
I know I am much better off mentally --It really bothered me to see 20-40 deer grazing in a field of our crops--wish the damn things looked like the rats they are

Should not have to sell farms or give up rent because the deer numbers get out of hand ---disease (here known as blue tongue) has cut the numbers some what --Thankfully

Good luck to all Dan
