west central Iowa		I have three of them, best one is an old wooden handled one I got at a sale a couple years ago, all have had new kits put in them. I haven't gotten smacked yet, my Dad really yelled at me about being careful when I first used one. One friend said they called them a lookout jack.
Once I was able to jack up a 135 bushel grinder clear full of feed with one to change a tire. It was on the side of a gravel road in the spring when the frost was going out. Nothing else would fit under the grinder. The worst thing I was so worried about jacking it up I forgot to break the lug bolts until I had it raised up, but I was able to jam a block under it and break the bolts, no way I was letting it down again.
