Lol, I hadn't considered that it was due to my 'inability' to operate it.  I would dearly love for you to come demonstrate with THAT jack.  I would be sure to make an "instructional" video to share.  I'm not interested in outlawing hi-lift jacks, but I would surely throw that one in with my next load of scrap if it was mine.

On a serious note, I shared because my problem was due to getting in a hurry and doing something with a defective tool to try and save time (and an extra trip).  Maybe somebody else will think of my story and decide to take the time to be safe, rather than cutting corners and getting hurt.
