Oregon | We planted SS with cowpeas last year and didn’t think it was worth the money. Peas got shaded out and never went to pod.
There’s a member here who planted millet with soybeans and had great luck. He wrapped them..don’t remember who tho..
A little off topic...I planted some turnips with SS this summer. (7.5 spacing, broadcasted turnips out of grass box) Plan is to bale mid-September and maybe the turnips will keep growing into the fall to make a bulb for grazing?? I dunno, we’ll see...if it doesn’t work, I’ve wasted more money before.
