I try to keep an open mind on food items but I'm with you. I have plucked a few off of corn stalks when I was younger and much more curious, I seem to recall that they had a mildly offensive odor too me, coupled with the fact that they look horrible probably means I won't be trying any as long as almost anything else edible is available.
anybody eat corn smut?
