Northwestern IL | You are correct. The Garden plain Hills and northeast of Sterling must have been what kept the average up last year. The Northern and Southern Whiteside sand belt took a major beating last Summer. The same area's are looking the same right now. We had the most beautiful looking corn last year on the sand and it wiped it out in 4 days in the middle of July. It's not looking good right now. Hard to find a irrigator not running right now. | |
