That would be ideal in my mind, except it requires another pass across the field. You could always move to a drier climate. Lol. We have times when you can start cutting at daylight, rake that afternoon and bale right behind it. Have seen that work multiple times on 3-4 5x6 bale/ac. Bermuda grass fields. Not the same on heavy forages obviously.
