Here, I usually rake and bale the same day. I'll wait till the dew comes off then rake and bale simultaneously if I have another tractor driver. In the rare occasion I rake the day before, it seems like about 70% of the time the bottom of the raked window will pick up ground moisture and take longer to dry out.
