| Pre-Plant Options:
1. High salt content fertilizers like most Nitrogen and Potassium sources put down heavy before crop is planted. 150Ib/acre of Ammonium nitrate, 150Ib/acre of AMS, then 150Ib/acre of Potassium Chloride. Pretty straightforward blend. That should give you around 80Ibs of N. 90Ibs of K. Finally 36Ibs of S. Probably best to work this in before planting.
2. If you don't have Ammonium nitrate access then probably getting 100Ibs of actual N of Anhydrous Ammonia.
Post-Plant Options:
1. Then coming back at V5- V7 with ammonium nitrate at 250Ib/acre. Or 250Ib/acre of Urea treated. Maybe sidedress with Anhydrous Ammonia but be careful not to burn roots real bad.
2. Then final application of 32 before tassel to finish it off at 25-35 more actual N.
3. Good soil and good organic matter should make 250 bpa just make sure you don't run out of N. If you don't make what you put out in N then you got other problems. | |
