so many people seem to think lowering commodity prices are going to return all of the western dakotas back to wheat and pasture. Lots of infrastructure for corn has been built out there. I have a friend out there that battled harvesting 100bu corn late into the winter. Guess what? He planted as much corn as mother nature allowed this spring. Unless corn prices drop and wheat stays firm I dont see a big shift. Lots of big bins and dryers built in nd over the last 10 years, only thing that kept the nd corn acres down was mother nature in my opinion.
