West Central Illinois | On the square bale rack that should be plenty, the ones my grandpa's built that I use is 2x6 floor and 2x8 stringers. I 2nd the effort to use decent lumber from a lumber yard Menards lumber is junk. Our local lumber yard sells wood just as cheap even if you factor in that 11% gimmick. Plus at Menards if a guy were to go that route you'll be in there for hours sorting through boards to find the halfway decent ones...
